How it works
- We never guess an address
- If a postcode or house number is missing, we ask you. We never fill in what we do not know. A guessed address is someone who receives nothing and never learns they were welcome — and you only discover it once the day has passed.
- It stays in your hands
- Your list is read automatically, but you always see it and can correct every line. Nothing goes to the printer until you say it is right.
- The card comes from you
- The card arrives in a white envelope with a round window through which the recipient’s address shows. Nothing of ours is printed on it — no name, no logo. Whoever takes it from the letterbox sees your card and nothing of ours.
- In time, because that is what matters
- We print with priority and hand the cards to PostNL the same or the next working day. Delivery within the Netherlands is then usually one to two working days. We do not promise an exact day: that is PostNL’s, and we would rather only promise what we can keep.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly are the funeral cards delivered?
Allow about two working days. Anything with us before 06:00 goes to the printer that day; after that it shifts by a day. You can choose a delivery day and we work back from it. If the funeral is in four days, order today.
How many funeral cards do I need?
Count households, not people: a family receives one card. Most families end up between 50 and 150. If in doubt, add a few — reordering means a new order and another wait.
Can the funeral director do this for me?
They can, and many use this service themselves. You can make the card here and add your address list; we print and send.
Do I need a print-ready design?
No. You design your funeral card here: pick a layout, pick a colour, fill in the text and you see it change as you type — both the front and the inside.
How do I supply my address list?
Paste it, or upload an Excel or CSV file. It does not have to be tidy — a column from an old address book, a block of text from a document or a few lines typed by hand all work. We turn it into separate address fields and show you the result as a table you can correct.
What happens if an address is incomplete?
We flag it and ask you. We never complete an address ourselves, and never guess a postcode: a guessed address means a card that does not arrive, and you would only find out far too late. You cannot order until every flagged line has been filled in.
Who sends the cards — you or me?
We do. Each card is printed, put in an envelope, franked and handed to PostNL as a separate item addressed to that recipient. You do not stick, write or post anything.
Is your name on the envelope?
No. The card arrives in a white envelope with a round window through which the recipient’s address shows. Nothing of ours is printed on it — no name, no logo. What the recipient opens comes from you.
How do I pay, and when are the cards printed?
By iDEAL or credit card, handled by Stripe. Nothing is printed until the payment succeeds. Spot a mistake straight after ordering? Email us — as long as a card is not on the press, we can hold it.
Can I see a card before the whole batch goes out?
Yes. Tick the sample card option and one extra card goes to your own address alongside the rest. If you want to see it before the others leave, place an order for just the sample card first.
Can you send abroad?
Yes. Put the country in your address list and we handle it. Delivery outside the Netherlands takes longer and costs more than domestic post.
